Amazon is hiring a Mechatronics Apprentice I to learn and assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. This role focuses on developing skills in mechatronics and robotics within a high-performance manufacturing environment.
You are eager to learn and develop your skills in mechatronics and robotics, combining electronic, mechanical, computer, and control skills in a workplace setting. As a Mechatronics Apprentice I, you will be engaged in the assembly and maintenance of complex machines, plants, and systems, working closely with journeyworkers to gain hands-on experience. You are an effective communicator who thrives in a team environment and is self-motivated, with the ability to coordinate activities with upstream and downstream operations partners. You understand the importance of adhering to safety regulations and policies in a manufacturing context.
While not required, any prior experience or coursework in mechatronics, robotics, or related fields would be beneficial. A strong interest in automated systems and a willingness to learn about high-performance manufacturing processes will set you up for success in this role.
In this apprenticeship, you will learn to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair complex high-performance manufacturing systems to maintain process efficiency. You will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, ensuring that preventative maintenance is conducted on time and to a high standard. Your role will involve working with technical documents and instructions, and you will be expected to carry out your work in compliance with relevant provisions and safety regulations. You will be mentored by senior professionals in the field, gaining insights into best practices and industry standards.
You will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to high levels of equipment availability and operational efficiency. This hands-on experience will provide you with a solid foundation in mechatronics and robotics, preparing you for future opportunities in the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering sector or related fields.
