Job Description

Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

As the Senior Manager for SAP Technical space, you will manage all technical aspects around two SAP landscapes. This include leading teams for all development, integrations, basis, security, regression testing, audit and compliance work. Creating support structure, mechanisms for a scalable onshore-offshore model.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead multiple technical teams in SAP technical space for new projects, implementation development, operations, upgrade and journey to RISE, and setting up strong internal controls.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge across breadth of technical space of various SAP development technologies (ABAP, UI5,BTP,Fiori,etc), Integration technologies(SAP,AWS, others), Security, Admin, automated testing and SOX system ownership
- Setup mechanisms and processes to enable high quality delivery, strong operations support, and a high performing team
- Mentor and coach team members, work closely with functional managers, internal/external stakeholders team and business leadership

Technical background
- 10+ years working on SAP Technical areas
- 5+ years managing teams across tech spaces (development, integrations, security, basis)
- Experience with managing testing teams, automated testing
- Experience with managing IT General Controls for SOX system


A day in the life
You will lead multiple teams across breath of SAP technical space and demonstrate technical command over SAP to guide your teams. As a people manager and manager of managers, setup mechanisms, strong procedures for development, change management, automated testing, quality tracking, documentation, etc. to enable high quality delivery and a strong healthy system. Invest in team building and development. Setup strong team spread across onshore-offshore, internal IT team and external contractors, members of various SAP technical skillset.

About the team
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Our team focuses on building Enterprise System Applications for manufacturing satellites. Your customers are the Procurement, Accounting, Finance and Supply Chain teams at Kuiper.- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of work in an engineering or delivery role for large enterprise experience
- Experience in managing an engineering team operating at scale- 5+ years of managing managers experience
- 10+ years of direct work with cloud hosting technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) experience
- Experience directly working with cloud hosting technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience in managing managers
- Experience with AWS platforms, services, and design patterns

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
