Job Description

Amazon’s Payroll Transformations Team is looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Change Manager to join its team and partner with wider Payroll Transformation team, Payroll Technology, Payroll Operations and other internal teams on supporting with change management activities on Payroll transformation projects, programs and initiatives on continuous improvement, resulting in raising the bar on employee experience and customer satisfaction for those projects and programs. The Change Manager is responsible for developing and supporting strategic global initiatives, creating implementation plans, and looking for continuous improvements in this area.
A successful candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills, exceptional ability to influence, organizational expertise, strong verbal and written communication skills.

You must be able to:
• Work cross-functionally and across geographies with stakeholders at all levels to support large-scale programs and initiatives.
• Manage and support all aspects of a complex change and transformation project and / or program, leading cross functional project teams and partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Inspect all aspects of change to ensure a comprehensive assessment of all impacts and dependencies particularly on our customers (SIPOC)
• Develop and maintain program governance structures, driving effective decisions and report-outs to wider stakeholder groups.
• Continually evaluate program initiatives for quality, business impact, and scalability. Conduct post-implementation evaluations to understand successes and improvement opportunities for the designed solution, including automation opportunities.
• Implement best practice of change management methodology ensuring that all aspects of change are considered within the framework
Below are the responsibilities of a Change Manager:
• Influence and effectively manage change by
o Assess in a structured and repeatable way all factors of any proposed change including but not limited to People, Process and Technology
o Assessing the operations readiness for change and coordinating all change management activities
o Ensuring cross-departmental collaboration to ensure that all relevant teams are aligned and engaged in the change initiatives.
o Engaging impacted stakeholders to evaluate the risks associated with proposed changes and to serve as the approval authority for change requests.
o Engaging stakeholders, creating communication plans, and building networks of change champions to facilitate the transition.
o Ensuring the any proposed change will not negatively impact Operation’s metrics such as HMD, SLA and defect rate
o Monitoring the execution of change management activities to ensure alignment with the overall change strategy
o
• Change Management Framework (CM Framework)
o Develop and implement the CM Framework, including methodologies, tools, and templates, to deliver and measure a change.
o Lead the maintenance, reviews, and updates to the framework and toolkit based on lessons learned and evolving project needs.
o Maintain awareness of developments in industry standards in change management methodologies
• Continuous Improvement
o Continuously evaluating and improving the change management process to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency
o Work with various teams within Payroll Transformation to ensure that metrics and processes are available to effectively assess the impact of a change.
o Work with various teams within Payroll Transformation to measure the impact of a change and facilitate support to address roadblocks, if any.
o Integrate the various change initiatives to create an overarching change agenda by streamlining and synergizing efforts across initiatives.
• Program Change Management
o Develop and manage a detailed change management plan in collaboration with the PM and key stakeholders.
o Develop and implement a communication plan to ensure that timely and appropriate level of information is provided to the stakeholders.
o Facilitate change impact analysis to identify what is changing for each of the stakeholder group and assist in resource planning, training, and processes redesign.
o Perform readiness assessment to measure awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement of key stakeholders.- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Six Sigma Black Belt
