This role requires experience in product management and a strong understanding of production workflows.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly in technical roles that involve cloud-based solutions. Your background includes working with creative professionals and understanding the complexities of production and post-production workflows. You are adept at navigating high ambiguity and can operate independently while managing relationships with various stakeholders in the entertainment industry.

Your expertise includes a strong understanding of AWS and how it can transform traditional workflows into efficient cloud-based processes. You are familiar with industry-standard tools and have experience collaborating with major vendors in the post-production space. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate product strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You thrive in environments that require strategic thinking and a focus on user needs. You are comfortable with defining product lifecycles and have a proven track record of driving product vision from conception to execution. You understand the importance of reducing hardware dependencies and enabling real-time collaboration among creative teams.

Desirable

Experience with tools such as Avid, Adobe, Colorfront, and Blackmagic is a plus. Familiarity with the entertainment industry's dynamics and the ability to manage complex relationships will set you apart. You are also encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as curiosity and a growth mindset are valued.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the product lifecycle for the Studio in the Cloud initiative, which aims to revolutionize how entertainment content is created. You will define the product strategy and feature design for workflows that facilitate collaboration among creative professionals and production companies. Your work will involve integrating industry-standard tools on AWS to streamline production processes.

You will collaborate closely with leading creative tool providers and major post-production vendors to ensure that the solutions you develop meet the needs of high-value productions. Your responsibilities will include managing the complexities of moving workflows from traditional infrastructure to cloud-based solutions, ensuring that creative quality and flexibility are maintained.

You will also be responsible for reducing hardware dependencies and eliminating physical media transport, which will accelerate production timelines. Your role will require you to navigate the intricate dynamics of the entertainment industry, balancing technical requirements with creative needs.

What we offer

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including equity and a full range of medical and financial benefits. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values innovation and collaboration.
