CI&T is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a modern data platform on Microsoft Azure. You'll work with Azure Data Factory, SQL, and REST APIs to create scalable data solutions. This role requires strong expertise in data engineering and hands-on experience with Azure technologies.
You have strong expertise as a data engineer with a proven track record of designing and implementing data solutions. Your hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory is complemented by advanced SQL skills, allowing you to handle complex queries and performance tuning effectively. You are familiar with ingesting data via REST APIs and have a solid understanding of Azure Data Lake and relational data stores. Your experience includes modernizing on-prem SQL Server environments and you are familiar with Synapse Analytics. You possess an advanced level of English and are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of Azure Data Factory pipelines, ensuring that ingestion patterns for API-based and SQL Server data sources are architected effectively. You will define transformation approaches using SQL and ELT patterns, while also designing and enforcing data quality, validation, and reconciliation logic. Establishing naming conventions, folder structures, and pipeline standards will be part of your responsibilities. You will review and guide the work produced by mid-level data engineers, troubleshooting complex pipeline, performance, and data integrity issues as they arise. Collaboration with the Data Architect and Data Product Manager will be crucial, as you contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer within the team.
