What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer at Oportun, you will play a key role in the Foundation & Shared Library Engineering group, where you will design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative products that empower our members. Your responsibilities will include writing high-quality code, participating in code reviews, and ensuring the performance and reliability of our software systems. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team.
You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. You will work closely with product managers and designers to understand user needs and translate them into technical specifications. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our mission to provide affordable credit to those left out of the financial mainstream.
