SpaceX is hiring a Software Engineer for their Special Programs team to design and develop software solutions for flight systems. You'll work with technologies like Java and Python to create high-performance applications. This role requires a strong background in software engineering and problem-solving skills.

Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies is a plus. Familiarity with aerospace systems or simulation technologies would be beneficial but is not required. A background in full-stack development is also advantageous, as you will be involved in managing automated testing of vehicle subsystems.
In this role, you will design and implement automated testing for hardware in the loop (HITL) and hardware out of the loop (HOOTL) software. Your work will ensure that deliverables meet target design criteria and operate within technical constraints. You will develop full-stack solutions to manage automated testing of vehicle subsystems, leveraging simulation and flight data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a high-assurance system that accelerates the development and demonstration of cutting-edge software and hardware. Your contributions will be critical to the success of SpaceX's flight systems, and you will have the opportunity to take ownership of new features in a scalable application.
