Overview

Axon is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting and finance transformation of its German subsidiaries. You'll ensure accuracy in month-end close processes and support local statutory reporting. This role requires expertise in US GAAP and HGB.

Who you are

You have a robust background in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role. Your expertise in both US GAAP and HGB is complemented by a proven track record in complex transition and post-merger integration projects. You are adept at managing ERP systems and local statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Your analytical skills allow you to drive efficiency in financial processes, and you thrive in environments that require attention to detail and strategic thinking.

You are a strong communicator, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve financial objectives. Your leadership style fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, empowering your team to excel in their roles. You understand the importance of diverse perspectives and actively seek input from colleagues and stakeholders to enhance decision-making.

Desirable

Experience in the technology sector or with companies undergoing significant growth will be advantageous. Familiarity with financial software and tools that enhance reporting and analysis will set you apart. You are also open to learning new systems and processes that can improve the efficiency of financial operations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial landscape of Axon's operations in Germany. You will oversee the month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both US GAAP and HGB. Your responsibilities will include managing intercompany flows across legal entities and collaborating with various departments to streamline financial operations. You will lead the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all financial reporting is completed accurately and on time.

You will also be instrumental in the transition and integration of financial systems, working closely with IT and other stakeholders to implement ERP solutions that meet the needs of the organization. Your role will involve analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, allowing you to make informed recommendations to senior management. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial practices align with local laws and regulations, thereby minimizing risk for the company.
