Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales management, particularly in managing ecosystem partnerships — your experience has equipped you with the skills to navigate complex sales processes and engage stakeholders effectively. You understand the nuances of working with large organizations like IBM and can leverage these relationships to drive business growth.

Your ability to communicate clearly and persuasively is one of your strongest assets — you can articulate the value of GitLab's offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

You are passionate about technology and its potential to transform businesses — your enthusiasm for GitLab's mission to redefine software development aligns with your professional goals. You are committed to continuous learning and growth, both for yourself and your team.

Desirable

Experience in the DevSecOps space or familiarity with AI-powered platforms would be a plus — you understand the competitive landscape and can position GitLab effectively against other players in the market.

What you'll do

As the IBM Ecosystem Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the IBM-led deal pipeline from start to finish — this includes identifying opportunities, engaging with IBM stakeholders, and ensuring that the sales process is followed meticulously. You will work closely with the sales team to align strategies and share insights that can enhance performance.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders at IBM — your role will involve regular communication and collaboration to ensure that both parties are aligned on goals and expectations. You will also facilitate training and support for the sales team to ensure they are well-equipped to engage with IBM effectively.

Your role will require you to track and report on sales metrics related to IBM deals — you will analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, using this information to refine strategies and drive better outcomes. You will also participate in strategic planning sessions to align on long-term goals and initiatives.

You will contribute to the overall success of GitLab by ensuring that IBM deals are executed smoothly and efficiently — your efforts will directly impact revenue growth and market presence. You will also play a key role in promoting GitLab's values and culture within the sales team and the broader organization.
