THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Sr. Agentic AI Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our platform. You’ll work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers to design and deliver scalable, secure, and performant systems. Beyond hands-on coding, you’ll guide teams on architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and drive initiatives that raise the bar for engineering excellence.

Experience with AI/agentic development (e.g., MCP, LLM-based tools, AI integration) is a strong plus, especially if you can help drive adoption of these technologies across the org.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead by example: contribute high-quality code across frontend and backend stacks.
  • Shape architecture: design scalable systems, APIs, and data flows that serve as long-term foundations.
  • Mentor engineers: coach senior and mid-level engineers, raising technical standards across teams.
  • Drive cross-team initiatives: align product, design, and infra stakeholders on technical direction and delivery.
  • Establish best practices: code quality, testing, security, observability, and performance.
  • Introduce and champion new technologies, including AI/agentic tooling, where they add business value.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong contributions across backend and frontend.
  • Expertise in TypeScript/Node.js (NestJS), Python/FastAPI and modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or equivalent).
  • Deep experience designing and scaling distributed systems, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and data models.
  • Strong knowledge of databases, caching, and messaging systems.
  • Proven success leading complex technical projects across multiple teams.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or integrating with AI/agentic tools and systems.
  • Familiarity with Python for AI/agent-related workflows.
  • Contributions to open-source or technical communities.
  • Background in DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, observability).
  • Driven development of AI-driven product features, including autonomous agents, AI chatbots and decision support workflows
  • Collaborate on prompt engineering for LLM-based systems, optimizing reliability and relevance
  • Work with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph or like build stateful, multi-step AI agents

Within Your First 6 Months

  • 1 Month – Ramp up on systems, ship first contributions, and build cross-team context.
  • 3 Months – Own a feature end-to-end, mentor peers, and influence architecture direction.
  • 6 Months – Lead a cross-team initiative, set guardrails, and drive adoption of best practices (including AI/agentic tools where valuable).
