Clutch is seeking a Senior Accountant – Controls to join their Finance team in Toronto. You'll be involved in the full accounting cycle, focusing on internal controls and compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in financial processes.
You have a strong background in accounting with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating your ability to manage the full accounting cycle effectively. Your expertise in internal controls and compliance is complemented by your analytical skills, allowing you to identify process gaps and implement improvements. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills, ensuring that all financial processes are documented and maintained with clarity and consistency. In this role, you will document, maintain, and improve accounting and operational processes, ensuring control, clarity, consistency, and scalability. You will assess, identify, and mitigate risks associated with financial operations, contributing to the overall integrity of the company's financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
You will collaborate closely with the VP, Corporate Controller, and other team members to strengthen internal controls and enhance financial processes. Your insights will help shape the company's financial strategy and support its growth objectives. You will also play a key role in preparing for the company's IPO, ensuring that all financial documentation meets the necessary requirements.
