SpaceX is hiring a MIG Welder to build the primary airframe of the Starship and Super Heavy vehicles. You'll work with an elite team to fabricate metal components and ensure build efficiency. This position requires experience in MIG welding and collaboration with engineering teams.
You have experience in MIG welding and are skilled at cutting, trimming, fitting, and fabricating metal components to precise dimensions. You understand the importance of collaborating with lead welders to assess the proper weld procedures, types of materials, and rod sizes for each project. You are capable of analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations effectively, even when procedural information is not readily available. You are committed to improving operations, decreasing turnaround times, and streamlining work processes while working cooperatively with your team. You are adaptable and willing to perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
As a MIG Welder at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the assembly and fabrication of various small to large-scale structures and assemblies for the Starship and Super Heavy vehicles. You will work closely with an elite team of welders and technicians to build the primary airframe, including tank bulkheads and other large associated structures. Your role will involve effectively communicating with management, supervisors, engineering staff, and planners to achieve build efficiency. You will also be tasked with modifying, repairing, assembling, and installing launch vehicles, ensuring that all work meets the high standards expected at SpaceX. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the rapid development of technologies aimed at enabling human life on Mars.
