Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in quality engineering, with a focus on integrating quality into every aspect of the design and production process. Your experience includes working closely with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure that quality is not just an afterthought but a fundamental part of the development lifecycle. You thrive in environments where you can influence how products are built from the ground up, and you are passionate about solving complex problems in innovative ways. You understand the importance of collaboration and communication, and you are skilled at building relationships across various teams to achieve common goals. You are detail-oriented and have a keen eye for identifying potential issues before they arise, ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of quality.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace industry or with rocket manufacturing processes would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with quality management systems and methodologies, such as Six Sigma or ISO standards, is also desirable. You may have a background in engineering or a related field, which helps you understand the technical aspects of the products you are working on. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement are key traits that will help you succeed in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Build Quality Engineer at Relativity, you will play a crucial role in the development of the Terran R rocket. Your primary responsibility will be to embed quality into every part of the design and production process. This means working closely with design teams to influence how products are conceptualized and built, ensuring that quality considerations are integrated from the very beginning. You will collaborate with manufacturing teams to establish quality standards and practices that align with the company's goals for innovation and efficiency. Your role will also involve conducting thorough inspections and tests to verify that products meet established quality criteria before they are launched. You will be expected to identify areas for improvement in the production process and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance quality and reduce defects.

What we offer

At Relativity, you will be part of a dynamic team that is at the forefront of aerospace innovation. We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $154,000 USD, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will have the chance to work on groundbreaking projects that have the potential to change the future of space exploration. Our company culture emphasizes autonomy, ownership, and impact, allowing you to make meaningful contributions to the team and the organization as a whole. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
