Who you are

You have a strong background in data analysis, particularly in the context of financial regulatory compliance. With experience working with regulatory or compliance reporting, you understand the importance of accurate and timely data in meeting external obligations. You are familiar with accounting principles, including double-entry ledger systems, which allows you to effectively analyze financial data. Your technical skills include proficiency in distributed data frameworks like Hadoop and Spark, enabling you to write and debug data pipelines efficiently. You have a good understanding of development processes and best practices, including engineering standards, code reviews, and testing, which ensures the quality and reliability of your work.

Desirable

Experience with data visualization tools or reporting software would be a plus, as it can enhance your ability to present findings to stakeholders. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R can also be beneficial for data manipulation and analysis tasks. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with engineering, accounting, and product teams to drive data-driven decisions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate across various teams, including engineering, accounting, and financial partnerships, to analyze and respond to regulatory reporting and compliance requirements. You will combine data from multiple upstream sources to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with financial regulations. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining data pipelines that support regulatory reporting, ensuring that the data is robust, immutable, and trustworthy. You will also work closely with regulatory experts to adapt to the ever-changing regulatory environment, maintaining the trust and confidence of regulators.

You will be responsible for identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data compliance processes. This may involve automating reporting tasks or developing new reporting capabilities that meet the needs of the business. You will also participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights and recommendations based on your data analysis, helping to shape the company's approach to regulatory compliance.
