Apple is hiring a GPU Top RTL Designer to develop high-performance, power-efficient processors and SoCs. You'll collaborate with various teams to deliver RTL and specifications for GPU power management. This role requires expertise in C, C++, and Linux.
You have a strong background in hardware design, particularly in GPU architecture, with experience in developing RTL for complex systems. Your attention to detail ensures that every aspect of your designs meets high standards of quality and performance. You are proficient in C and C++, and you have a solid understanding of Linux environments, which allows you to navigate and optimize your designs effectively. Your collaborative spirit shines through as you work closely with cross-functional teams, including software and design verification, to integrate various components into cohesive systems. You are passionate about creating innovative solutions that enhance user experiences and drive technological advancements.
Experience with OpenGL or similar graphics APIs is a plus, as it will help you understand the intricacies of GPU functionality. Familiarity with power management techniques and SoC design principles will further enhance your contributions to the team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and documenting micro-architecture from high-level architectural descriptions, ensuring that your designs are both innovative and practical. You will deliver high-quality design collateral, including RTL, to the Physical Design teams, playing a crucial role in the overall development process. Specifying clock, power, and interface descriptions will be part of your daily tasks, as you work to optimize designs for performance and efficiency. You will assess and integrate IP from other Apple teams, ensuring that security, debug, and power management solutions are seamlessly incorporated into your designs. Your ability to close timing, power, area, and lint for design will be essential as you optimize RTL and constraints to meet project milestones.
