You'll work with technologies like AWS, Apache Kafka, and ClickHouse to scale data processing components. This role requires 5+ years of experience in building large-scale data platforms.
You have over 5 years of experience in building large-scale, fault-tolerant, distributed data platforms — you've successfully designed and operated stream processing pipelines and ETLs that handle millions of events daily. Your expertise in services like AWS Kinesis and Apache Kafka allows you to create robust data solutions that meet the demands of a rapidly scaling company.
You possess expert-level knowledge in building real-time customer-facing analytics systems using services such as AWS TimeStream or ClickHouse — your ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable insights is a key strength. You are proficient in writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or Pulumi, ensuring that your infrastructure is both scalable and maintainable.
Your experience includes integrating IaC with CI/CD pipelines, and you are well-versed in implementing and managing GitOps workflows with tools such as ArgoCD and GitHub Actions — this knowledge allows you to streamline development processes and enhance team collaboration. You are proficient in one or more programming languages, including Golang, Rust, Python, Java, or TypeScript, which enables you to contribute effectively to various projects.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Data and Commerce engineering team to scale the data processing components of Together’s usage-based billing system — your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our systems. You will define, build, and operate the data infrastructure that supports real-time analytics and business intelligence tools, ensuring that our data solutions are robust and scalable.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing stream processing pipelines that handle millions of events daily — your expertise will help us maintain high availability and performance standards. You will work across both cloud-native services and globally distributed data centers, ensuring that our infrastructure meets the needs of a growing user base.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge of best practices in data engineering — your leadership will help foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. You will also engage in cross-functional collaboration with product managers and other stakeholders to align data initiatives with business goals.
