Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to oversee test engineering in electronic product manufacturing. You'll manage cross-functional teams and implement process improvements using Agile methodologies. This role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience.
You have a Bachelor’s degree, and ideally an MBA or MS in Engineering or a related field. With at least 2 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in test engineering for electronic product manufacturing, you understand the nuances of managing complex projects. Your background includes experience in manufacturing test processes, program management, and identifying process improvements. You are familiar with Agile methodologies and have a track record of orienting teams towards these practices. Your experience extends to managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with international OEM partners to mass-produce consumer electronics products. You possess direct experience in hardware test debugging, troubleshooting, and capital expenditure optimization, along with failure analysis investigation. You are adept at translating data into actionable insights, strategies, and plans, embodying Google's philosophy of building, breaking, and rebuilding better.
In this role, you will lead the test engineering efforts for electronic product manufacturing projects at Google. You will manage schedules and plan for all test engineering deliverables, including data collection features, test framework software drops, fixture bring-up, and ongoing audits. You will work closely with contract manufacturers to develop test-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure test fixtures are ready for production. Your responsibilities will also include optimizing cycle time per unit per hour (UPH) and maintaining line balance. You will navigate Google's extensive codebase, identifying weak spots and designing innovative ways to enhance testing processes. Your role will have a significant impact on the quality of Google's suite of products and services, as you will be responsible for ensuring that testing is automated and efficient, allowing developers to test their own code effectively.
