SpaceX is hiring an Environmental Engineer to support Launch and Production Operations at Cape Canaveral. You'll develop and implement environmental programs while ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires expertise in environmental laws and regulations.
You have a strong background in environmental engineering with experience in developing and implementing environmental programs. You are knowledgeable about compliance with regulations established by EPA, FDEP, CERCLA, RCRA, and DOT, and you can interpret new and proposed environmental laws effectively. You have a proven track record of performing environmental audits and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Your expertise extends to hazardous materials management and environmental tracking software, ensuring that all operations meet the necessary compliance standards.
In this role, you will support SpaceX's launch facilities by developing and improving environmental programs tailored to the unique challenges of the aerospace industry. You will maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, ensuring that the operations at Cape Canaveral adhere to environmental standards. Your responsibilities will include tracking and interpreting environmental laws, providing guidance to management, and conducting audits to ensure compliance. You will also operate and maintain the hazardous materials management plan and compliance calendar, ensuring that all records are accurately kept and up to date. Additionally, you will maintain operational compliance plans, including stormwater pollution prevention plans and spill prevention measures, to mitigate environmental risks associated with launch operations.
