Amazon is hiring a Commissioning Engineer to support the construction and commissioning of data center systems. You'll work with HVAC, electrical power monitoring systems, and generators in Dallas. This role requires experience in critical infrastructure commissioning.
You have experience in critical infrastructure commissioning, particularly in data centers, and are looking for a challenging role where you can apply your skills in a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of construction quality and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all systems meet engineering designs and customer requirements. Your background includes working with various systems such as medium and low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, and building management systems. You are physically capable of performing tasks that may require lifting and working in diverse environments, including heights and uneven terrain. You thrive in collaborative settings, supporting vendors and contractors to achieve project goals.
Experience with testing and balancing systems, as well as knowledge of chilled water systems and hydronic systems, would be advantageous. Familiarity with industry standards and safety protocols is also a plus, as is the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, when necessary.
As a Commissioning Engineer at Amazon, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the commissioning of various systems within our data centers. You will evaluate and manage construction quality, ensuring that all installations meet the required specifications and standards. Your role will involve collaborating with contractors and vendors, providing guidance and support throughout the commissioning process. You will conduct inspections and tests on systems such as HVAC, generators, and electrical power monitoring systems, documenting your findings and ensuring compliance with engineering designs. You will also participate in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the commissioning phase, working closely with other teams to ensure seamless operations.
