Overview

2U is seeking a Director of Field Marketing for their Enterprise team to enhance brand visibility and manage event campaigns. This role requires strategic collaboration with various teams and project management skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in field marketing, particularly within the education or technology sectors, with at least 5 years of experience leading marketing initiatives. Your strategic mindset allows you to identify and source relevant industry events that align with company goals, ensuring maximum impact and visibility. You excel in project management, overseeing logistics for events from inception to execution, and you are adept at establishing guidelines and best practices across teams. Your collaborative spirit shines through as you work closely with creative, marketing operations, and product marketing teams to develop branded materials that resonate with target audiences.

You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively coordinate with sales teams and other stakeholders to drive successful event campaigns. Your ability to analyze event performance and adapt strategies accordingly ensures continuous improvement in marketing efforts. You are detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality and results. You understand the importance of brand visibility in a competitive landscape and are passionate about enhancing the company's presence at key industry events.

Desirable

Experience in the education technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics. A background in managing large-scale events or conferences will set you apart, as will any experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve marketing objectives.

What you'll do

As the Director of Field Marketing, you will take the lead in sourcing and managing edX’s presence at industry events, ensuring that each event aligns with the company’s strategic goals. You will project manage the end-to-end logistics for events, from identifying opportunities to executing successful campaigns that enhance brand visibility. Your role will involve establishing best practices and guidelines for event management, contributing to the event calendar, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.

You will collaborate with creative teams to develop impactful branded materials that resonate with event attendees and enhance the overall experience. Your close coordination with sales teams will be crucial in driving successful event campaigns, ensuring that marketing efforts translate into tangible results. You will analyze the performance of events and campaigns, using insights to refine strategies and improve future initiatives.

In this role, you will also be responsible for documenting standard operating procedures and maintaining vendor lists to streamline event management processes. Your leadership will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the marketing team, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and insights that enhance overall marketing effectiveness.
