You have 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create user-centered designs that drive engagement and satisfaction. You thrive in ambiguity and are skilled at rapidly prototyping concepts that challenge conventional thinking. Your experience spans the full product design lifecycle, from initial ideation to the final details that ship. You possess a customer-first mindset and are adept at uncovering overlooked opportunities to enhance user experiences. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys guiding and mentoring other designers, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to evolving project requirements with ease.
Experience in the transportation or mobility sector is a plus, as is familiarity with design systems and methodologies that enhance team efficiency. A background in user research and testing will help you validate your design decisions and ensure they meet user needs effectively.
As a Senior Product Designer on Lyft’s Rider Core Experience team, you will lead the design of high-impact app experiences that are central to Lyft’s growth and success. You will drive design strategy and execution across initiatives focused on rider conversion, retention, and service excellence. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to bring your designs to life. You will conduct user research to understand rider needs and pain points, using insights to inform your design decisions. You will create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate your vision. You will also guide the work of other designers on the team, ensuring that design standards are met and that the team is aligned on project goals. Your work will help define what transportation should feel like tomorrow, setting new industry standards for user experience.
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the San Francisco area, between $148,000 and $185,000, not inclusive of potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
