Amazon is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for the Amazon Leo Productivity Infrastructure & Engineering team. You'll focus on managing AWS infrastructure and developing systems for SAP ERP & MES. This role requires expertise in AWS and Infrastructure as Code.
You have 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, particularly in managing cloud infrastructure and developing enterprise-grade applications. Your hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2 and CloudFormation, has equipped you with the skills to build and maintain scalable, reliable environments. You thrive in agile development workflows and are adept at delivering consistent results while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Your expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) allows you to automate and streamline the provisioning of cloud resources, ensuring operational excellence. You are familiar with hybrid service environments and can design solutions that meet both cloud and on-premise requirements. Your strong analytical skills enable you to monitor and optimize network connectivity between internal and external systems, ensuring seamless integration.
You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys partnering with application owners to understand their needs and plan for infrastructure demands. Your ability to drive automation of routine tasks helps scale operations and improve efficiency. You maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware architecture and networking, ensuring clarity and consistency across the team.
Experience with AWS GovCloud is a plus, as is familiarity with enterprise applications and device connectivity. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results.
In this role, you will provision and manage AWS infrastructure, utilizing services such as EC2, CloudFormation Templates, and Load Balancers to create controlled working environments. You will design and manage best-in-class cloud, on-premise, and hybrid service environments, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and its customers. Your responsibilities will include building dashboarding and alarming systems to drive operational excellence and support the infrastructure needs of SAP ERP & MES systems.
You will collaborate with a wide range of technologies and AWS products, architecting and setting up infrastructure that supports enterprise-grade applications. Your role will involve analyzing and supporting the setup of new device connectivity to enterprise applications and services, as well as monitoring network connectivity to ensure reliability.
You will partner closely with application owners to understand their requirements and plan for future infrastructure demands. Your focus on automation will help streamline operations, allowing the team to scale effectively. You will also maintain hardware architecture documentation for all infrastructure and networking, ensuring that the team has access to up-to-date information.
