Stripe is hiring a Risk Strategist for their Financial Crimes team to shape the company's approach to AML and Sanctions risk management. You'll work with data-driven strategies and collaborate across teams. This role requires proficiency in SQL and experience in risk management.
You have a strong background in risk management, particularly in financial crimes, with a proven track record of overseeing the execution and delivery of programs or projects. You are comfortable translating complex issues into actionable next steps, ensuring that risk strategies are proactive and scalable. Your experience includes working with data-driven approaches to risk, and you possess proficiency in SQL, which allows you to analyze and interpret data effectively. An advanced degree or professional certifications such as CAMS or CFCS are considered a plus, showcasing your commitment to the field.
As a Risk Strategist on the Financial Crimes team, you will serve as a key advisor shaping Stripe’s global approach to AML and Sanctions risk management. You will translate policies and high-level requirements into actionable strategies that align with Stripe’s mission to grow responsibly while meeting regulatory expectations. Your role will involve collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams to ensure that risk strategies are seamlessly integrated into Stripe’s products and operations. You will design and operationalize policies, standards, and frameworks that are coherent and effective across all products. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of these strategies and making necessary adjustments based on evolving risks and regulatory changes.
