Databricks is seeking a Finance Manager for AI Products to join their Product Finance team. You'll deliver insights through modeling and analysis, focusing on R&D spend for AI products. This role requires experience in financial stewardship and forecasting.
You have a strong background in finance, particularly in managing R&D expenses, with a focus on AI products. Your experience in hyper-growth environments has equipped you with the skills to deliver insights through financial modeling and analysis. You are adept at developing KPI reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Data Science, to achieve product goals. Your expertise in implementing financial solutions, such as Anaplan, allows you to support forecasting and reporting of key metrics effectively.
Experience with cost attribution models and driver-based revenue models is a plus. You have a keen understanding of pricing strategies and commercialization processes, which will help you partner effectively with the pricing and commercialization teams.
As a Finance Manager for AI Products at Databricks, you will play a crucial role in the Product Finance team within the FP&A organization. You will report to a Senior Manager of Product Finance and be a key finance partner to the R&D organization. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing models to forecast, plan, and budget for various types of R&D expenses. You will also be responsible for improving the analysis, planning, and reporting of R&D spend, particularly focusing on AI products and managing related infrastructure costs across multiple public clouds.
You will develop driver-based revenue models to enhance both short-term and long-term forecasts for a dynamic product area. Additionally, you will create cost attribution models to inform the drivers of current economics and improve forecasting accuracy. Collaborating closely with the pricing team, you will assist in making informed pricing decisions for both existing and new products. Furthermore, you will partner with the commercialization team on key partnerships that will have a material impact on the business.
