Looking to hire for our client at a large investment bank requiring an Application Support Analyst to join their Front Office facing Equity Trading group providing 1st / 2nd line support, stability and enhancement to their electronic execution, pricing and associated infrastructure solutions for the vanilla derivatives business.

Candidates will be responsible for facing off to traders, risk managers and external clients providing Trading Support Analyst expertise, increasing of systems performance, infrastructure systems deployment, extensions and analysis of the implementation and integration requirements for the global trading system.

Candidates will be expected to hold an understanding of Front Office production environments across large scale distributed global systems gained from either an Investment Bank, Software House or Hedge Fund within a Linux environment.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for support of the Equity Linked Business and will also need to coordinate activities with the Production Support and Infrastructure teams. Activities will include:

• First and Second Line Support of Tier 1 Applications
• Responsible for both Linux, Unix and Windows based applications
• On-going maintenance, release and deployments on all applications
• Responsible for managing Business Continuity Planning (ensure all hardware in both Production and Non- production sites are inline from both a hardware and software perspective)
• Capacity reviews (ensure applications and hardware are correctly sized for sudden increase in business volumes),
• Drive Process Improvements and plant automation
• Liaise with ELT Development teams and drive application stability
• Work closely with the Integration team on application on boarding and provide specifications for tools needed within the operational space to minimise time taken on manual tasks
• Mentor and train offshore teams and continue handover of tasks and out of hours business support

Experience Required:

• Front Office Support experience; ability to display that candidate can multitask and perform in a time pressured environment
• Experienced in UNIX, Linux and Windows environments. Scripting is a plus
• SQL skills
• Understanding of infrastructure components, networking
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Team player
• ITIL

• Python, Shell/Bash Scripting

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.  The base pay rate for this position is $100,000- $125,000 USD.  

This pay rate represents mthree's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting and based on the locations listed in the job advertisement. It is anticipated that qualified candidates selected for a placement will receive this pay rate as a starting salary once onsite with the mthree client, however, the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
