Category Labs is seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive operational efficiency across the engineering team. You'll collaborate with engineering leadership and stakeholders to ensure timely product deliverables. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate technical concepts quickly.
You have a strong background in program management, ideally with 3+ years of experience in a technical environment. Your high intelligence allows you to quickly grasp complex technical concepts, making you an asset in discussions with engineering teams. You possess high emotional intelligence and strong communication skills, enabling you to tactfully navigate inefficiencies and maximize productivity among engineers. You are proactive in identifying and mitigating blockers that could hinder engineering progress and communication. Your organizational skills are top-notch, allowing you to manage tickets and follow up effectively. You are passionate about championing best practices for communication and collaboration in an engineering and research environment.
In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams, leadership, and outside stakeholders to drive product deliverables and ensure quality best practices are followed. You will collaborate with engineering leadership to understand, prioritize, and resource product deliverables effectively. A significant part of your role will involve the creation, organization, and follow-up of tickets to ensure that projects stay on track. You will own end-to-end release management, which includes versioning, patch notes, configuration documentation, and stakeholder communications to ensure safe and timely releases with zero surprises. You will also identify and improve existing engineering processes that could benefit from optimization or better rigor, ensuring that the team operates at peak efficiency.
