Senior Experience Designer

Who you are

You have a strong background in experience design, with a focus on integrating design with agile software delivery. Your experience includes collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to tackle complex problems and deliver high-quality software solutions. You are skilled in creating journey maps, service blueprints, roadmaps, prototypes, and design systems, and you have a knack for facilitating workshops and developing unique design strategies for products. You are comfortable applying various research methods, such as context analysis, moderated interviews, experiments, and user tests, to inform your design decisions. You understand the importance of balancing client and team expectations, and you communicate experience design deliverables clearly to all stakeholders. You are also passionate about mentoring less-experienced designers and advocating for experience design expertise within the broader community.

Desirable

Experience with additional design tools and methodologies is a plus, as is familiarity with agile project management practices. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to the growth of your team and the success of your projects.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play an active part in the delivery and design of technology projects that transform how clients work. You will collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to create a wide range of experience design deliverables, ensuring that the project scope, risks, and updates are regularly assessed and communicated. You will facilitate workshops and develop unique design strategies for products, taking part in making strategic decisions at the portfolio level. Your role will involve applying various research methods to inform design hypotheses for delivery teams, which include both Thoughtworkers and clients. You will advocate for experience design expertise to the broader community and extend your knowledge to teammates by supporting less-experienced designers when possible.
