What you'll do

As the Director of Systems Engineering at WHOOP, you will lead the development and scaling of the systems engineering function. Your primary responsibility will be to define and implement best-in-class processes around architecture, requirements, risk management, and verification/validation. You will work closely with the Co-Founder & Chief Hardware Engineer to shape the vision for WHOOP's hardware ecosystem, ensuring that products meet high standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

You will be instrumental in driving the design and verification processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the product development lifecycle. Your role will involve influencing product direction from the early stages, ensuring that all engineering efforts are aligned with WHOOP's mission and goals. You will also be responsible for building a strong systems engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

In addition to technical leadership, you will play a key role in organizational development, helping to elevate the overall engineering rigor within WHOOP. You will define system foundations that support the successful launch of complex products, ensuring that all engineering teams are equipped to deliver high-quality results.
