Google is seeking a Senior Accounting Advisor to manage core accounting responsibilities and advise on financial reports. You'll work with ERP systems like SAP and Oracle, requiring a CPA or CA and 7 years of experience.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience, and hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation. With at least 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree, you are well-versed in lease accounting (ASC 842), financial reporting, and operational accounting processes. Your attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement are complemented by your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
You possess excellent investigative and organizational skills, allowing you to navigate complex accounting principles and processes. You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, advocating for best practices and contributing to the efficiency of your team. Your experience in creating accounting memos and process documentation showcases your ability to implement and improve business processes and systems.
In this role, you will handle core accounting responsibilities at Google, advising on financial reports required by governmental regulations. You will review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) controls. Your role will involve building strong cross-functional relationships across departments to support company initiatives and ensure adherence to global policies.
You will create and deliver clear, impactful presentations on complex accounting topics to various audiences, identifying and escalating key issues to executive leadership. Your problem-solving skills will be essential as you partner with teams to drive decision-making and improve processes.
