Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in data analysis, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role — you excel at translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. Your expertise in SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in your reports. You are proficient in using data visualization tools like Tableau to present findings in a clear and compelling manner, making it easy for stakeholders to understand the implications of the data. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Go-To-Market and Product partners, to gather requirements and understand their data needs. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for identifying trends and patterns in data, which helps in improving customer experiences and driving business growth. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to embrace AI tools to enhance your productivity and impact.

Desirable

Experience with customer intelligence or user experience analytics is a plus, as it will help you better understand customer journeys and behaviors. Familiarity with data governance and best practices in data management will also be beneficial in ensuring that the data products you develop are reliable and compliant with industry standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the end-to-end development of customer-focused data products that help GitLab teams understand and improve the customer journey. You will collaborate closely with Go-To-Market and Product partners to translate their business questions into clear data requirements, ensuring that the insights you provide are aligned with their strategic goals. You will explore product usage and feedback data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer satisfaction and engagement. Your analytical skills will be crucial in developing dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators, enabling teams to make informed decisions based on real-time data. You will also be responsible for conducting data quality checks and ensuring that the data used in your analyses is accurate and up-to-date. As part of a high-performance culture, you will be encouraged to share your findings and insights with the broader team, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge exchange is valued.

What we offer

GitLab offers a flexible remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere in North America. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration, with opportunities for professional growth and development. The company is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where every voice is heard and valued. You will have access to the latest AI tools and technologies, empowering you to enhance your productivity and drive impactful results. GitLab also provides competitive compensation and benefits, ensuring that you are rewarded for your contributions to the company's mission of transforming software development.
