DRW Holdings is hiring a European Surveillance Officer to oversee trading surveillance across various asset classes in Europe. This role requires expertise in market abuse surveillance and compliance processes.

Who you are

You have a strong background in compliance and surveillance, particularly within trading environments. Your experience includes monitoring trading activities across multiple asset classes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and conducting thorough investigations into potential market abuse. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to review automated alerts and configure them for new activities effectively. Your ability to draft business requirements and conduct user acceptance testing demonstrates your technical proficiency and understanding of compliance systems.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can leverage your knowledge of trading firms and market dynamics. Your familiarity with e-communications and voice records enhances your capability to conduct comprehensive surveillance. You are proactive in designing new studies and collaborating with third-party providers to improve existing compliance processes. Desirable

Experience with AI-driven compliance tools and a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape in Europe would be advantageous. Familiarity with prop-trading firms and their operational frameworks will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As a European Surveillance Officer at DRW, you will be responsible for the surveillance of trading activities across Europe, including the UK. Your primary focus will be on market abuse surveillance, where you will analyze market data from both exchange and OTC transactions. You will conduct timely reviews of automated alerts, ensuring that any suspicious activities are promptly investigated. Your role will involve configuring existing alerts to adapt to new trading activities and improve the accuracy of surveillance studies.

You will design new studies to enhance the effectiveness of the compliance program, collaborating with internal teams and external partners as necessary. Drafting business requirements will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will conducting user acceptance testing to ensure that compliance systems meet operational needs. You will play a crucial role in maintaining DRW's high standards of compliance and integrity in trading practices.
