Platform Control Plane Product Lead

Who you are

You are an experienced product leader with a strong background in managing developer-oriented products, particularly in the areas of containers, orchestration, and distributed data stores. You have a proven track record of defining product vision and strategy, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with engineering teams to bring innovative solutions to life. Your experience with Kubernetes and cloud technologies positions you well to lead the evolution of Elastic's Control Plane infrastructure.

You have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the cloud space, and you are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance user experiences. You are skilled at managing teams of technical product managers, guiding them to achieve their goals while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You are comfortable navigating complex technical discussions and translating them into actionable product strategies.

Desirable

Experience with Elastic's products or similar cloud-based solutions is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management frameworks will help you excel in this role. You are a strong communicator, able to articulate your vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the direction and development of Elastic's Control Plane infrastructure, which supports Elastic Cloud Hosted and Elastic Cloud Serverless. You will work closely with the Elastic Cloud Engineering Team and Tech Leads to define and maintain a shared vision and roadmap for the future of Elastic Cloud and its orchestration product portfolio. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that the product meets the needs of users while aligning with the company's strategic goals.

You will directly manage a team of highly skilled technical product managers, providing guidance and support as they navigate the complexities of product development. You will collaborate with upstream and downstream product and engineering teams at Elastic to ensure awareness and alignment on product initiatives. Your role will involve regular communication with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on product features, ensuring that the Control Plane infrastructure evolves in line with user needs and market trends.
