The Role

As a Conversion Engineer, you will manage customer data conversions, including complex data sets, while maintaining data integrity throughout the conversion to Bloomerang CRM. You’ll play an essential role in executing conversions with precision, contributing feedback to streamline internal processes, and developing project-centric solutions to conversion challenges.

 

What You Will Do

• Execute assigned conversions independently using templates while ensuring quality and accuracy of timelines
• Adapt conversion processes to handle edge cases within defined scope and document nuances or mapping issues
• Proactively identify and resolve routine issues, escalating with context when necessary to avoid blockers
• Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to resolve complex cases and ensure successful outcomes
• Maintain consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and conversion standards to protect data quality and system integrity
• Communicate risks, progress, and technical issues clearly in both technical and non-technical language
• Take full ownership of assigned projects, managing deliverables with minimal oversight and organizing tasks to meet deadlines
• Support teammates through peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and informal mentorship, fostering a collaborative environment
• Suggest refinements and small process improvements to enhance efficiency, throughput, and task-level flow
• Promote a culture of trust, adaptability, and constructive problem-solving across the department

 

What You Need to Succeed

• 2+ years of related work experience in a data conversion or ETL engineering role
• Strong proficiency in C# to script and automate conversions
• Extensive experience with Excel for data analysis and manipulation
• Communication skills to clearly and effectively work with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative environment
• Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt under moderate ambiguity
• Experience with Go (GoLang) programming language and Python 
• SQL, MySQL or similar query language experience 
• Desire to actively explore, learn, and responsibly integrate AI tools into daily tasks to drive efficiency and support Bloomerang's mission

Compensation 
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws

Location
This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
