We are looking for a dedicated and team-oriented Vendor Manager to join the Furniture team.

The role can be based in any of our EU Retail locations in London, Manchester, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Berlin or Paris.

You will define and drive long-term objectives and strategy for the business and will be responsible for managing comprehensive selection across multiple brands, developing collaborative marketing and promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements.


Key job responsibilities
- Drive selection (direct / indirect supply, priority brands and terms)
- Establish relationships and conclude agreements/deals with leading brands.
- Execute technical integration with suppliers and lead projects to more efficiently source stock, manage prices, execute promotions and assimilate vendor catalogs.
- Agree with vendors on promotions and marketing initiatives and coordinate with the Site Merchandising team to execute these activities
- Demand forecasting: Create forecasts of demand based on multiple sources (local sales history, other locales data, external sources, vendor feedback)
- In-stock monitoring: Daily monitoring of inventory levels to reduce stock-out/ overstock risk
- Participate day-to-day operational aspects of the category, including gathering and addressing customer feedback, price monitoring, business improvement initiatives.
- Be an ambassador within the industry and continuously enhance Amazon’s position.
- People management

- You will have the opportunity to develop and progress within a dynamic and growing industry and get exposure to Amazon's top management in Europe. - Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering or Sciences.

- 5-7 years of working experience in management consulting, vendor account management, project management, and/or buyer position.
- Strong business judgment with a track record of successful relationship management and people management skills.
- Strong analytical skills (including advanced excel and database analysis).
- Fluent in English. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Inter-personal and communication skills, negotiation skills, bias for action, ownership, project management skills and A to Z business understanding are required.
- Successful candidates will be autonomous, tenacious and creative. They will quickly adapt to work in a fast paced environment where prioritizing and multi-tasking are essential.
- Enthusiastic and team player spirit.
- Post-graduate education / Masters level qualification (MBA from top tier school is a plus).
- Experienced in start-up type environments or short-cycle businesses

- Working knowledge of additional languages.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
- Experience in people management is nice-to-have.
