Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Senior Gateway Site Development Engineer to design and implement antenna infrastructure for the Starlink project. You'll engage in hardware design and collaborate with international partners. This role requires expertise in electrical and embedded engineering.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, particularly in designing and implementing complex systems. Your background includes working with electrical and embedded engineering principles, and you have a strong understanding of antenna systems and site development. You excel at solving complex problems and managing large projects, demonstrating your ability to adapt to new challenges and environments. You are comfortable traveling internationally to collaborate with partners and develop solutions that meet global performance goals. Your communication skills allow you to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communication systems or similar technologies is a plus. Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software will enhance your ability to create detailed site plans and hardware designs. A passion for space exploration and a desire to contribute to innovative projects will set you apart in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Gateway Site Development Engineer, you will lead the design of antenna sites and associated hardware to support the Starlink project. Your responsibilities will include developing site build-out plans in collaboration with international partners, ensuring that all designs meet performance and regulatory requirements. You will engage in hands-on hardware design initiatives, creating innovative solutions for mounting antennas and connecting power sources.
