Apple is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to develop new processes and architectures for display panels. You'll work with technologies like Photo Lithography and Thin Film to optimize manufacturing processes. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
You have a BS degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in display panel technology. Your background includes expertise in equipment technology and process integration for new products, particularly in Photo Lithography, Thin Film, and Etch processes. You are familiar with TFT device physics and have a strong understanding of how to modify TFT stack-ups and devices to maintain performance. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams and supplier partners to develop innovative panel products.
Experience with a-Si TFT, Metal Oxide TFT, and LTPS technologies is a plus. You are proactive in seeking out new materials and developing advanced processes for display panels, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and excellence in your work.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new panel products from concept through productivity verification. You will work closely with the Apple HQ team in California and industrial partners in Asia to create flat panel devices that deliver the best display performance for Apple products. Your focus will be on optimizing and improving existing TFT backplane processes to ensure they meet the high standards expected of Apple products. You will also explore new materials and tough processes to advance display technology, contributing to the overall success of the panel systems team.
