Hey everyone! This is Thai Viapiana from CI&T's Talent Attraction Team :) We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team responsible for maintaining and migrating our On-Premise Data Warehouse, which supports critical business processes. This professional will be essential in the transition to cloud solutions and ensuring operational continuity during this transformation period.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Support: Ensure the continuous operation by monitoring and resolving issues that may arise.
Problem Solving: Respond quickly to errors and issues in data pipelines, ensuring that failures are resolved in a timely manner to minimize business impact.
Data Migration: Actively participate in the data migration process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technical and business teams to ensure data requirements are met and solutions are implemented according to best practices.
Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the documentation of processes and best practices, constantly seeking opportunities for improvement in architecture and data flows.
Technical Qualifications:
Database Experience: Solid experience with Relational Databases (SQL Server could be an advantage), including query optimization, indexing, and data modeling. Familiarity with the use of Stored Procedures and Triggers.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as Python for developing data pipelines.
ETL and Integration Tools: Knowledge of ETL tools (such as Talend, Informatica, or SSIS) and data integration practices.
Data Storage: Experience with data lakes and data warehouses, including concepts of dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake).
Cloud Environments: Familiarity with cloud platforms (Snowflake and Azure could be an advantage).
Monitoring and Automation: Ability to implement monitoring solutions for data pipelines and automate processes.
Code Versioning: Experience with source code version control using Git or similar tools.
Agile Methodologies: Knowledge and experience working in agile environments, utilizing methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
