as a Forecasting Analyst, you will develop and implement sophisticated volume forecasting models to predict future business demands. A key focus will be managing both baseline forecasts and new business initiatives, working closely with Marketing and Business teams to validate and incorporate new project volumes into the overall forecast. You will help optimize operational efficiency through accurate demand prediction and capacity planning to ensure service levels meet anticipated volume requirements.
You will work closely with Operations, Analytics, and Business Intelligence teams to develop and maintain accurate forecasting models, while regularly analyzing variance between forecasted and actual volumes to drive continuous improvement. You will identify forecast anomalies, validate assumptions behind new business projections, and provide data-driven insights for operational adjustments.
You must be highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization, and have the ability to translatlate complex data patterns into actionable forecasting insights at Amazon speed. You will bring innovation, statistical expertise, and an ability to prioritize and execute on a fast-moving set of strategic priorities. You will be responsible for developing long-term demand forecasting, 3YP (three-year prediction models) and strategic roadmaps for volume projections and capacity planning.- 2+ years of program or project management experience- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
