Job Description

Who you are

You are a payroll professional with extensive experience in full-cycle payroll processing for both the United States and Canada. You thrive on problem-solving and have strong system skills, particularly with Workday, allowing you to handle complex payroll cases efficiently. You understand the importance of accuracy and compliance in payroll, ensuring that employees are paid on time and in accordance with all regulations. Your ability to act as a Tier 2 and Tier 3 resource for payroll system support sets you apart, as you can resolve intricate issues without needing to escalate them.

You possess a solid understanding of payroll tax processes, including managing tax notices, reconciling tax filings, and preparing quarterly and year-end amendments. Your attention to detail ensures that all payroll tax matters are handled with excellence, contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. You are also familiar with LATAM payroll practices, which can be beneficial for backup coverage, although it is not a requirement for the role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the full-cycle payroll process for exempt, nonexempt, and cross-border employees in the US and Canada. You will ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time, allowing employees to focus on their work without concerns about payment issues. Your responsibilities will include acting as a key point of contact for payroll inquiries and providing advanced payroll system support, particularly for Workday. You will work closely with payroll vendors, HR, Finance, and other business partners to maintain accuracy and compliance in payroll operations.

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll tax processes, which includes researching and resolving tax notices, reconciling tax filings, and processing necessary tax adjustments. Your expertise will help prevent recurrence of issues and ensure that all payroll tax matters are handled efficiently. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, contributing to a positive employee experience.

What we offer

At Databricks, you will be part of a dynamic global organization that values your contributions and supports your professional growth. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your skills in payroll processing and system support will be highly valued. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Join us in making a difference for our employees and customers alike.
