Who you are

You have 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of QA methodologies and practices. You possess expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or C#, which you have used to enhance software quality. Your analytical and troubleshooting skills allow you to dive deep into issues, identifying root causes effectively. You are familiar with the application development life-cycle and have experience in CI/CD processes, particularly in an agile environment. You have worked with test and bug management tools like JIRA and TestRail, and you understand the importance of automation in testing large-scale applications. You are also comfortable with manual testing and have experience in UI and API automation testing using tools like Selenium and SOAPUI.

Desirable

While not required, experience mentoring other engineers would be a plus, as you will have opportunities to guide less experienced team members. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, as it complements your practical experience in quality assurance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive test strategies for medium to large projects, with a strong emphasis on automated execution. You will collaborate closely with development teams to ensure that quality is integrated into the software development process from the outset. Your role will involve designing and planning test conditions and test scripts, ensuring that all aspects of the software are thoroughly tested before release. You will also be expected to document test results and communicate findings to stakeholders, helping to drive improvements in the software development lifecycle.

You will work autonomously, taking ownership of your projects and finding solutions to challenges as they arise. Your contributions will directly influence the customer experience at Amazon scale, impacting how customers interact with grocery services.
