Elastic is seeking a Senior Director of Technical Revenue Accounting to lead strategic compliance and revenue recognition across global product lines. This role requires expertise in ASC 606 and collaboration with various teams to structure complex contracts.
You are a strategic leader with extensive experience in technical revenue accounting, particularly in a SaaS environment. You have a deep understanding of ASC 606 and have successfully implemented revenue recognition policies in previous roles. Your ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including Deal Desk, Legal, and Sales, has allowed you to structure complex contracts that ensure optimal revenue outcomes. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are ready to influence go-to-market strategies.
You possess strong analytical skills and can navigate complex transactions with ease. Your experience in compliance and assurance has equipped you to rigorously enforce global revenue policies while maintaining pristine compliance and control. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in a publicly traded company is a plus, as is familiarity with international revenue recognition standards. You are comfortable working with diverse teams and have a track record of driving change in rapidly scaling organizations. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and encourages team members to excel.
In this role, you will lead the technical revenue and business enablement function at Elastic. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of revenue recognition across all global product lines. This includes establishing, monitoring, and enforcing global revenue policies in accordance with ASC 606. You will work closely with the VP of Revenue Accounting Operations to influence strategic decisions and drive compliance initiatives.
You will proactively partner with the Deal Desk, Legal, and Sales leadership to structure complex, non-standard contracts. Your expertise will guide the organization in navigating new market entries and complex transactions, ensuring that revenue outcomes are optimal and accurate. You will also play a key role in educating internal teams on revenue recognition policies and best practices.
