Senior Platform Engineer

Who you are

You have a bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. With over 5 years of experience, you have a strong background in building and operating cloud platforms, particularly in a microservices architecture. Your expertise in Kubernetes is complemented by your knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps tooling, allowing you to effectively manage and scale cloud infrastructure.

You are skilled in containerization and understand the importance of automation in operational tasks. Your experience includes integrating telemetry and observability into platforms, ensuring that systems are not only functional but also efficient and reliable. You are familiar with best practices in cloud-native environments and have a proactive approach to implementing infrastructure as code.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with engineering teams to establish best practices and drive the adoption of platform components. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you a valuable team member, and you are always eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Desirable

Experience with multiple cloud providers is a plus, as is familiarity with monitoring tools and practices. You may also have experience in automating deployment processes and managing Kubernetes clusters across different environments.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building and operating a highly available Microservices Cloud platform based on Kubernetes. You will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available software using best-in-class technologies. Your responsibilities will include establishing best practices for CI/CD and driving the adoption of infrastructure and platform components by engineering teams at Celonis.

You will automate operational tasks and implement infrastructure as code, ensuring that the platform is efficient and reliable. Monitoring and managing environments will be key aspects of your role, as you integrate telemetry and observability into the platform to maintain high availability and performance.

You will also take ownership of various components in a cloud-native landscape, implementing DevOps infrastructure components and best practices. Deploying CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments will be a critical part of your daily tasks, and you will work closely with other teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
