Nuro is seeking a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability and resilience of their autonomous vehicle systems. You'll diagnose and resolve technical challenges related to robotic systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and experience in incident response.
You have a strong background in systems reliability engineering, with experience in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in real-time. Your expertise allows you to act as the first line of defense for a wide range of challenges, from system-level glitches to software and connectivity problems. You thrive in high-pressure environments and are adept at collaborating with both hardware and software engineering teams to ensure seamless operations. You understand the importance of fostering inclusion and psychological safety within your team, contributing to a positive work culture.
Experience with autonomous systems or robotics is a plus, as is familiarity with incident response protocols and tools. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and have a knack for communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and your ability to think critically under pressure set you apart.
As a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer at Nuro, you will be the technical point of contact for diagnosing and resolving on-site issues that arise during fleet operations. You will work closely with the Robotics Reliability Engineering team to triage and coordinate the resolution of incidents that block on-road missions or impact fleet-wide performance. Your role will involve collaborating with engineering groups to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. You will also contribute to the development of best practices for incident management and reliability engineering, ensuring that the systems powering our autonomous vehicle fleet are robust and resilient.
You will engage in continuous improvement efforts, analyzing incident data to identify trends and areas for enhancement. Your insights will help shape the future of our reliability engineering practices, making a significant impact on the overall performance of our autonomous systems. You will also participate in training and mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
At Nuro, you will be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to making autonomy accessible to all. We offer a collaborative work environment where innovation is encouraged, and your contributions will directly impact the future of transportation. You will have access to cutting-edge technology and the opportunity to work on exciting projects that push the boundaries of what is possible in autonomous driving.
