HubSpot is seeking an Accounting Intern for Summer 2026 to support financial operations and gain hands-on accounting experience. This role requires an interest in accounting or finance and a commitment to a full-time internship.
You are currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and you have a strong interest in gaining practical experience in the finance sector. You are detail-oriented and committed to accuracy, which is essential for supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. You are eager to learn how a modern, global finance team operates and are excited about contributing to meaningful projects that connect directly to business and customer needs. You are available for a full-time, 40-hour/week internship from June to August 2026, with the possibility of continuing part-time from September 2026 to May 2027.
In this internship, you will support various accounting tasks, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities through journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis. You will take ownership of recurring accounting tasks that enhance team productivity and allow for strategic, high-priority work. You will assist with financial reporting and ensure accuracy across core accounting systems. Collaboration is key, as you will partner with cross-functional teams to gather data, resolve questions, and support operational workflows. Additionally, you will contribute to ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing processes, documentation, and internal controls. Analyzing transactions and trends to support audits and internal reviews will also be part of your responsibilities, as well as identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
