Senior Frontend Engineer (Australia - AEST, Remote)

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a strong focus on building production software that delivers real value to users. Your expertise in JavaScript and React allows you to create engaging and efficient user interfaces that enhance developer experiences. You understand the nuances of state management and architecture, and you are comfortable working asynchronously across different time zones, particularly in AU, JP, and US. You have a keen interest in headless and composable platforms, and you are excited about the potential of enterprise software to transform business operations.

You have shipped production software to real users and understand the critical differences between code and product. Your experience includes developing reusable UI components and design system primitives that can be utilized across various applications. You are familiar with Terraform and Go, or you are eager to learn these technologies to enhance your skill set further. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Desirable

Experience with headless or composable platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with enterprise software development. You are comfortable with asynchronous communication and have a track record of successfully collaborating with teams across different regions. Your ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment will be invaluable as you contribute to Tailor's innovative projects.

What you'll do

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Tailor, you will be responsible for building and improving the Console, which serves as the primary interface for developers configuring and managing their Tailor applications. You will develop reusable UI components and design system primitives that will be used across our platform and customer applications. Your role will involve creating frontend abstractions, such as AppShell, that accelerate how forward-deployed teams deliver customer solutions. You will collaborate with Core Platform teams to build user interfaces for platform features and work closely with Forward Deployed teams to create frontend applications that enhance the customer experience.

You will engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our development processes, enabling Tailor to deliver exceptional products to our clients. You will also have the opportunity to participate in architectural discussions and influence the direction of our frontend technology stack.
