What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Payments Infrastructure team, you will take ownership of critical infrastructure areas that support the payment flow at Airbnb. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining staging and testing environments that ensure the reliability of payment systems. Your role will involve end-to-end payment flow testing, where you will monitor and respond to incidents that may arise during transactions. You will also contribute to the test data strategy and mocking strategy, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools to simulate real-world scenarios effectively.

You will collaborate closely with other engineering teams to enable shared infrastructure and frameworks that enhance the overall performance of payment products. Your work will directly impact the user experience, as you help create a frictionless payment process for guests and hosts alike. You will also have the opportunity to work on early-stage capabilities for a Payments AI agent platform, contributing to innovative solutions that improve incident triage and response.
