THE ROLE
As Head of Technology, you'll translate technology initiatives into measurable business value while elevating our organization's technological maturity. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, where you'll not just be part of our digital transformation – you'll be leading it.
You'll work closely with team leads to troubleshoot complex challenges, drive operational excellence, share knowledge across departments, and collaborate on initiatives that support the team's goals, making this role ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of forward-thinking and hands-on problem-solving.
How you'll transform technology
Technology leadership: Define and execute long-term IT strategy across development, support, data, infrastructure, and security teams ensuring scalability and alignment with business objectives.
Operational management and budget responsibility: Oversee the organization and performance of the tech function, including process ownership and budget management. Ensure that investments in people, competencies, and technology deliver measurable business value.
Team leadership & development: Work closely with Team Leads to translate technology strategy into execution while supporting and developing their leadership capabilities through coaching and mentoring.
Governance & compliance: Ensure all systems meet legal, regulatory, and company standards while maintaining security protocols to protect company and customer data.
Infrastructure & enabling innovation: Design, implement, and maintain scalable technology infrastructure that enables innovation across the organization. Lead the discovery and rollout of SaaS tools, automations, and integrations that enhance processes and enable new ways of working
WHO WE SEEK
We're looking for a technology leader based in Stockholm or Munich who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving digital transformation at scale. The ideal candidate should have experience balancing long-term vision with day-to-day execution needs.
Leadership excellence:
- Relevant university degree in IT or equivalent professional experience”- “Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or demonstrable professional track record in senior IT roles.
- 10+ years in IT leadership roles with demonstrated success in business-technology alignment and digital transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience navigating complex organizational structures, demonstrating the ability to bring clarity to uncertainty.
- Strong track record in team leadership, resource planning, and scaling IT functions as organizations grow.
Technical & leadership foundation:
- Deep understanding of IT leadership, management and organizational development
- Experience managing P&L, budgets, and vendor negotiations with focus on cost-effective operations.
Cultural adaptability:
- Thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments; comfortable with Netlight's self organising culture rather than traditional command-and-control management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic approach to balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication skills in English
