Overview

Amazon is hiring a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You'll work with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering principles to ensure operational efficiency in Erlanger, Kentucky.

You have extensive experience in mechatronics and robotics, with a strong background in maintaining and repairing automated systems. Your technical expertise allows you to troubleshoot complex issues effectively, ensuring that all equipment operates at peak performance. You are skilled in leading teams and mentoring junior technicians, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared and growth is encouraged. Your problem-solving abilities enable you to design innovative solutions for challenging technical problems, and you thrive in a fast-paced operational setting. You understand the importance of safety and compliance in the workplace, ensuring that all procedures are followed meticulously. What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment (MHE) and facility systems, including Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems. You will lead a team of service technicians, developing training plans and ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively. You will manage projects related to the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, coordinating with vendors for planned and emergency repairs. Your responsibilities will also include designing solutions for complex technical challenges, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Operations Maintenance team, contributing to the overall success of Amazon's logistics operations. You will be expected to document all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations, creating a safe working environment for all employees.
