You have a deep understanding of packaging engineering and sourcing processes, allowing you to effectively manage teams and projects. You are comfortable collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

Desirable

Experience in the food industry or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with sustainability practices in packaging. You are innovative and open to exploring new technologies and methodologies that can improve sourcing and packaging processes.

What you'll do

As the Director of Procurement Strategy, you will lead the packaging sourcing and engineering teams, overseeing all aspects of procurement for packaging across various brands. You will develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy that drives cost savings, quality improvements, and innovation in packaging design. Your role will involve setting and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, growth, and supplier performance.

You will work closely with the VP of Procurement to cultivate a high-performing organization, providing leadership and support to your team. You will be responsible for building annual budgets and savings initiatives, collaborating with finance and business partners to optimize packaging spend. Regular communication of category performance to the Senior Leadership team will be a key aspect of your role, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals.

You will also play a critical role in fostering a strong team culture that reflects HelloFresh’s core values. By driving technical best practices and encouraging collaboration, you will help your team navigate challenges and seize opportunities for growth and innovation.
