SpaceX is seeking a Tool & Die Supervisor to lead a team in the construction and maintenance of tools for the Starlink project. This role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
You have experience in supervising teams within a manufacturing or tool and die environment — you understand the intricacies of tool design and production processes. You are skilled in mentoring and leading teams, ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace. You possess strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in addressing nonconformance issues and optimizing production flow. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers and quality assurance personnel, to enhance operational effectiveness.
As a Tool & Die Supervisor at SpaceX, you will lead a team of up to 20 employees, overseeing the production flow within the tool shop. You will ensure that all safety protocols are followed while maintaining high efficiency in the assembly shop area. Your responsibilities will include mentoring your team, coordinating maintenance support during problematic situations, and reviewing work order instructions to ensure accuracy. You will work closely with shop floor technicians and engineers to resolve recurring issues and recommend changes to improve processes. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the tools produced meet exceptional quality standards, contributing to the overall success of the Starlink project.
